Trip Update: Opening Ceremonies

This morning we attended opening ceremonies!!
Hosed by Carowinds!

These were so many people there!
Middle Daughter and one of her team mates.

3 time Olympic Gold Medalist Leah O'Brien-Amico was the guest speaker.
She was amazing. Just seeing an Olympic Gold Medalist in person was
awesome but her message was unbelievable.
She spoke about perseverance, desire, and effort but her
real message was how God had worked in her life.
I was truly moved and I know my girls were also.

Then one of the Canadian teams sang their national anthem.

And then several girls from various age groups from Indianapolis came up on stage to and one of those girls (I believe she was 12) sang the national anthem. In front of about 500 people. She did a great job!! It was very fun..... and then it was onto the amusement/water park.

...... more pictures later.

That's pretty exciting to hear from an Olympic Champion like that, and to hear that she believes in God and is using her championship to speak out, even better!

PS, is it just my computer or has photobucket really moved or deleted your background? Cuz' you're not the only blog I've seen this happen to lately and I was wondering if it was just me.
